CAPITOL CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE
CAPITOL CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE IN SACRAMENTO FEATURES THE CARS OF ITALY AND FRANCE, PLUS THE FORD THUNDERBIRD
The 17th Annual Capitol Concours d’Elegance will be held in its new home on the greens of Capitol Mall in Sacramento, California on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children®- Northern California. This spectacular classic car event will showcase more than 100 exceptional examples of American and European vintage and exotic cars. “We are excited to present our Concours at the new Capitol Mall venue and plan to grow the event in this location over the coming decade. We know the public will be thrilled with our special features which will line several blocks with incredible vintage cars, sports cars and exotics”, said Alan Anderson, Director of Development for Shriners Hospitals for Children®-Northern California.
Guests will have the opportunity to donate to the hospital in return for a ride in an exotic Ferrari or Lamborghini or one of the surprises from Mercedes-Benz during the Ride & Drive. Visitors will enjoy great food and incredible vendor exhibits.
Primary Concours sponsors include; Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento, El Dorado Hills, Rocklin – members of the Von Housen Automotive Group, Snyder Leasing, Elk Grove Toyota and SureWest Foundation. The event is supported by SCCA-Sports Car Club of America, Lamborghini Club America, Ferrari Club of America-Sacramento Region, EuroSunday, the Downtown Sacramento Partnership and their Capitol Mall property owner membership.
Shriners Hospitals for Children® - Northern California is an international health care system dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Children up to the age of 18 with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate are eligible for admission and receive all care in a family-centered environment with no financial obligation to patients or families. NIELLO CONCOURS at SERRANO
Niello Concours at Serrano will be a Weekend you won’t want to miss
Sunday, October 3, 2010 marks the seventh annual Niello Concours at Serrano located at the spectacular Serrano Visitors Center in El Dorado Hills. Attendees over the past six years have expressed overwhelmingly positive feedback, declaring that the event was a truly memorable experience. Plans are being made for an even more memorable concours weekend with the day of the Concours being the culmination of a number of car enthusiast activities.
The weekend will start with the Finale del Concours Raduno at La Borgata on Friday, October 1 from 7:00 ~ 10:00 in the evening. A limited number of tickets will be available for this sumptuous strolling dinner and reception featuring live music along with a choice selection of cars on display. On Saturday, The Tour is open to Concours entrants and their magnificent cars. This drive will take a few chosen rare, historic and valuable cars on a fabulous tour of the area.
On Sunday the weekend’s activities will crescendo with the Niello Concours at Serrano from 10:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon. A high-energy fashion show presented by boutiques of Fountains at Roseville and The Hennessy Cigar and Cognac Lounge are included in the admission price. Advance tickets for the Concours will be available at all Niello Dealerships for $35.00 up to the day before the event.
